Through my going natural journey, I have found many books to help educate me about my hair. So far, I have bought three books:
Going Natural: How to fall In Love With Nappy Hair
This book is very helpful, it tells you how to properly groom your hair, and how to transition from relaxed to natural. This book includes how to do hairstyles for transitioning and natural hair, and even has little hair recipes for you try in moisturizing your hair.
No Lye! The African-American Woman's Guide To Natural Hair Care
This book breaks your hair structure down to a science you can understand just what type of hair you have, and how you can take care of it. This book also talks about grooming and hairstyles.
Ultra Black Hair Growth II
This book talks about hair products, hair dressers, hair appliances, and what they all do on your head. This book also covers grooming, and what to do if you want your hair to grow ultra long. This is book is very informative like the two above this. I recommend this book for ladies who want to gorw their textured hair.
Right now, there are two books I am looking to add on to my arsenal, that are immediately downloadable, and they are:
Grow Curly African Hair Long
This is a book that is supposed to teach you recipes to help make your hair managable and grow long hair (and treat balding and thinning hair lines), and says it can help you achieve length fast. However, I am highly skeptical because hair is said to grow only half an inch a month, but I am still curious...very curious...about those hair recipes...there is a 60 day guaranteed money back if I don't like it................hey, what can I lose, and it is immediately downloadable, too.
Nappturosity: The #1 Resource For Natural Hair And Loc Care
I want to see what this book offers too. This book is also immediately downloadble. This book talks a lot about locs and how to start and maintain. Natural hair is talked about along with transitioning and do-it-yourself hair styles. Best ways to grow natural hair and groom natural hair. I am thinking about this one, it even comes with a money back guarantee of 60 days also...mmmmmmmmmmm, once again, nothing to lose...I am always looking to add on to my knowledge of Black Hair, I wonder if it can tell me something new...only one way to find out!
